Joel Pollack

Mr. Joel Pollack

President and Chief Executive Officer

Joel Pollack joined Clairvoyante in 2004 to accelerate the market penetration of PenTile RGBW™ technology. He was previously with Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas, where he served as vice president of the Display Products Business Unit. Mr. Pollack’s 38 years in the LCD field include more than 13 years at Sharp, which tripled its North American LCD component business during his tenure. Previously, Mr. Pollack enjoyed successful roles as a research scientist at Xerox Webster Research Center; LCD device engineering group manager at Tektronix; and marketing and sales executive at both Tektronix and Sharp. Mr. Pollack holds a B.S. in Physics from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters in Materials Science from the University of Rochester.

Candice H. Brown Elliott

Ms. Candice H. Brown Elliott

Founder, Chief Technology Officer and Chairwoman of the Board

Candice Brown Elliott founded Clairvoyante in July 2000 to develop and license enhanced display architectures and subpixel rendering technology. Ms. Brown Elliott is a 30-year veteran of the display and semiconductor industries, holding positions in R&D, manufacturing, and engineering management at Fairchild, Advanced Micro Devices, Planar Systems, and the Micro Display Corporation. Ms. Elliott has been granted 16 patents. She holds a dual B.S. in Physics and Psychology from Excelsior College, University of the State of New York.

Chris Thollaug

Mr. Chris Thollaug

Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder

Chris Thollaug is a co-founder of Clairvoyante, and has 25 years experience in operations and financial management. Prior to Clairvoyante, he co-founded eQualityWork, a management consulting company where he specialized in financial and equity modeling. Prior to eQW, Mr. Thollaug was CFO for Gravity Inc., an internet 3-D graphics company in based in San Francisco. Following his early career at Xerox, he co-founded Reprographic Systems Inc., which was sold to Lanier Graphics in 1993. Mr. Thollaug received an M.B.A. in 1978 from Golden Gate University.

Stuart Kaler

Mr. Stuart Kaler

General Counsel

For more than 15 years, Stuart Kaler has assisted high technology companies in Silicon Valley to in securing, licensing and defending their intellectual property rights. During his career, Mr. Kaler has counseled a diverse set of clients, from large multinational concerns to venture-backed start-ups. He has held senior in-house IP counsel positions at Siemens and Xerox PARC, as well as with law firms Morrison Foerster and Flehr, Hohbach, Test, Albritton Herbert. In addition, Mr. Kaler has advised numerous clients in litigation and during settlement negotiations. Mr. Kaler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of North Dakota, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota.
