Cupertino, Calif.—May 17, 2007—At SID 2007, Clairvoyante will be exhibiting a variety of mobile display modules and drivers integrated with PenTile RGBW™ technology that increase brightness or reduce power consumption of portable displays. The company will also introduce PenTile Mode Control™ technology, a set of backlight control options for statically or dynamically selecting varying levels of power consumption and color purity. PenTile® technology will be demonstrated in Booth #1350 at the Society for Information Display International Symposium 2007 in Long Beach, Calif. being held May 20-25.
Clairvoyante's booth #1350 will feature low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) and amorphous silicon (a-Si) displays, as well as the latest driver chips enabled by PenTile RGBW™ technology. These displays and drivers are targeted to mobile applications that require superior brightness, rich colors, and excellent visibility while effectively managing power consumption. The ability to meet these power and performance demands make PenTile® designs ideal for mobile video devices, ultra mobile personal computers, wireless internet devices, automotive displays, and mobile phones.
PenTile® technology—which is being licensed by an increasing number of the leading display and driver IC manufacturers—has been proven to be a cost-effective method for cutting power consumption in half and increasing brightness and resolution, enabling developers of mobile displays to compete more effectively for application-driven designs.
